This was bloody…and BRILLIANT。 I loved Enosh and Ada’s journey and HEA so hard。 I don’t give 5 stars often but this conclusion deserves it。 Hands down one of the best books I've read this year。 Dark and depraved, gritty and violent。。。it was everything I've come to love in my romance。 Ada and Enosh were twisted and morally grey but they were real。 I think anyone that reads this story can relate to their pain and hardships, as well as their victories and desires。 “The fourth one, one of the priests, stared up at me from tear-drowned eyes。 “I cannot say, Adelaide, which one of you is worse。 You or your husband。” “The answer to that is simple, mortal。” I leaned over and stabbed into his belly, placing my lips by his ear。 “We’re equally terrible。”
This book picks up right after book 1 with Ada dead and losing everything that is dear to her。 Enosh believes the worst in Ada and treats her as if she’s the rot on his enemies bones (hate sex anyone?!)。 But things are not what they seem and Ada is determined to prove her loyalty and innocence to Enosh, as well as take back what she is rightfully owed in life。 Enosh is determined to hate but soon realizes that he has made a grave mistake。 “I would rather have you hate me for eternity than not have you at all。” His lips brushed the corner of my mouth, kissing me as he brought one of my legs over his, positioning me astride him。 “But at least allow me to love you。”
Enosh and Ada have to go through the ringer to finally find that the two of them are halves to a whole but the angst, the tension and the steam between them was next level hot。 They were a tornado of passion and desire and I loved every second of their push and pull。 Enosh's grovel。。。had me swooning。 “The scent of ash might be burnt into my skin, but you are forever branded into my heart。 Precious and forever treasured, this I vow。 I love you。 I want nothing more than for you to love me back。 That, and…” his hand slipped over my collarbone, down between my breasts, and settled against my belly, “this child。”
The action and the suspense in this story and the raw power from both Enosh and Ada were so well written。 I loved Ada and her tenacity and strength。 She rose from the ashes like a phoenix and her fate was such a surprise *pumps fist in the air。* “I am the Queen of Rot and Pain, beautiful and kind, terrible and cruel,” I murmured to myself and Rose, then stared down at Eilam, who still held his hand pressed to a wound already closed。 “Now give me my baby。”
Enosh was deliciously alpha, possessive and obsessive。 He was the perfect mixture of hard and soft and his character development was exquisite。 I fell for him so hard! Enosh and Ada were the ultimate power couple! “The world was full of monsters。 But this one was mine。”
If you haven’t started this duet, DO IT。 You won’t regret it。 It was such a unique world and was a well written dark fantasy romance。 I hope she writes the brothers *wink wink。* IYKYK。 Enosh and Ada's path to revenge and happiness ripped so many emotions from me that had me glued to the pages and immersed in their world。 Now if you'll excuse me。。。I'm going to go cry because I already miss Enosh and Ada。 。。。more
Alice,
What a deeply deeply satisfying series and ending! I loved how Ada came into her own and how Enosh earned his forgiveness。 Sooo good! Excited to see what this author writes next!
Breck,
Queen of Rot and Pain picks up right where King of Flesh and Bone left off, and takes us through the satisfying conclusion to this couple’s story。 The character development was fantastic, and I loved the surprising twists and turns dotted throughout the book。 If you enjoyed the first book, you will love this one!
Bookbird,
I have no words。 This book is picking up right where KOFAB left us: on an emotional rollercoaster。 All packed into fantastic worldbuilding, intriguing characters and beautiful, poetic writing, decorated with grime and gore and lots of love。 Liv Zander knows how to combine the ingredients to show us the beauty in the bizarre。 This is dark and romantic at its best。
Amber White,
Liv did not hold back ANY punches when she wrote the conclusion to Enosh and Ada’s story!! With they way things were left at the end of KOFAB, it was safe to say that we were going to be in a great deal of suffering and heart ache。 Sadly, that didn’t even come close to describing the pain that we were dealing with。 Enosh put Ada through hell and back and then had the damn nerve to repeat the process! Even though Ada knew that she was up against centuries worth of trust issues and let alone a god Liv did not hold back ANY punches when she wrote the conclusion to Enosh and Ada’s story!! Even though Ada knew that she was up against centuries worth of trust issues and let alone a god feeling like he had been betrayed, Ada never once wavered or backed down! I loved Ada before, but she became the woman of my dreams and my absolute hero in this book! No matter what Enosh said or did to her, even if there was a little doubt that creeped up in her, she bulldozed past it all! Fighting and believing in herself when there was no one else who would。 I thought that nothing could be worse then a god in love, well you haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen a woman who has lost the only thing she’s ever wanted。 This book is going to have your jaw sweeping the floor from start to finish with all of the plot twists and secrets that will be revealed。 From the very first chapter of KOFAB to the very last of QORAP, Liv captivates you and takes you for a ride with this story that is dark and riddled with pain。 The type that doesn’t seem like it could be altered to reflect love, but by the end we get to see the deepest darkest love imaginable between Enosh and Ada。 If this is what Liv gave us on her first attempt, I’d say we better buckle down because we will most definitely be in for it in the future。 。。。more

This was a very satisfying conclusion to this duet and I absolutely love Enosh and Ada's relationship development。 The story begins with the misunderstanding/miscommunication trope which was a little annoying to deal with but also very entertaining。 I appreciate that it was necessary to see their full character growth。 Once I got the gratification I needed, the rest of the book was wonderful。 There's the grovelling trope in here which was done really well。 I love Enosh so much, his obsessiveness This was a very satisfying conclusion to this duet and I absolutely love Enosh and Ada's relationship development。 The story begins with the misunderstanding/miscommunication trope which was a little annoying to deal with but also very entertaining。 I appreciate that it was necessary to see their full character growth。 Once I got the gratification I needed, the rest of the book was wonderful。 There's the grovelling trope in here which was done really well。 I love Enosh so much, his obsessiveness over Ada is amazing。 I also like his fashion sense lol。 “Little one, I will set the world ablaze and stand smiling at the center of its flames。” His other finger drew lazy circles around the side of my neck, numbing my mind with its warm caress。I massively enjoyed Ada's character arc into the Queen of Rot and Pain。 It was great to see after all the injustices she had suffered throughout her life。 (I listened to Nightmare by Halsey which fit perfectly)。Side note- I LOVE Yarin。 He is such a fun and interesting character and every time he was on the page I (literally not figuratively) jumped in excitement。 Overall, this was a very exciting conclusion and I can't wait to see what Liv writes next! Liv Zander out did herself with the second book of the Pain & Rot series。 Enosh was so devastatingly wicked to Ada。 He felt her betrayal down to his marrow。 His breaking point was an accumulation of all of his pain。 Ada finally got him to listen。 Ada truly turned into the Queen of Rot & Pain。 The ending is exactly what they both deserved。 Definitely a 5 star read!

Queen of Rot and Pain was such a dark and captivating read! Kate Hood,
Wow。 I’m absolutely impressed and respectfully terrified of the creative genius that produced this dark story。 The second book to follow The King of Flesh and Bone gave me a satisfactory conclusion to their story, while leaving it open for future stories (hopefully) from this world。 There is such beauty in this darkness。 I will forever one-click Liv Zander’s book because as she well stated, “we are all monsters。”

I had a hard time with the first half of the book。 But the transformation Adelaide goes through in this book is what kept me going。 It made for a stunning conclusion to this dark, high fantasy epic about the obsessive love between a god and a mortal。 I can’t wait to see what else this author produces。

I simply can not put down this series and can not get enough ! King of flesh and bone ended with with a gut wrenching cliff hanger with Enosh escaping only to find his wife (Ada) bleeding out after being stabbed in the stomach while being pregnant。 Something Ada had always wanted。 These books are full of angst and spice 。 I enjoy a good book that can keep me engaged in the story while also breaking my heart over their pain。 Liv does this while also delivering great spice 。 This is a dark fantas I simply can not put down this series and can not get enough ! Like I said in my review for king of flesh and bone , Enosh is worse then a morally grey character, some of the things he says and does might come off as being to much or might make you hate his character altogether。 For me I love that it’s something new and truly sexy as hell 。 But again if your looking for a cute lovey couple … this is not the book for you 。 Both characters had endured a lot between the two books and to read the raw emotion in the beginning of this book is exactly what I was looking for 。 You just want to reach in the book and correct both characters (which I。 Love ) but seeing the development between the two main characters was awesome。 I hope to see more from Liz in this world (hopefully give some side characters their moment to shine ! 。。。more

I loved TKOFAB so when this ARC came up in my inbox, I was hypoxic and the ARC my oxygen。 So am I primed to like this book more than someone who isn’t obsessed with the first book? Yes。 But let me tell you why this book’s rating stands on its own validity (warning: cursing and run-on sentences to follow because I’m passionate about this。) TKOFAB ends on a painful cliffy, but I wasn’t mad because I’m a sucker for a villain origin story and a morally grey FMC。 I knew this set up a second book nice I loved TKOFAB so when this ARC came up in my inbox, I was hypoxic and the ARC my oxygen。 So am I primed to like this book more than someone who isn’t obsessed with the first book?
